Mesidor

Today started out like any ordinary day. But my father and a evangelist friend of mine Tallat Mohammed were here visiting. My friend Tallat wanted to see some of the devastation. So I thought okay I have my cousins who live in Port au Prince and they can show you some of the devastation and my cousins in the area will guide us through the destruction.
One of my cousins lost part of his leg during the earthquake. When I had been there before I didn't get to see him. His name is Mesidor. We had been praying for him since the earthquake on January 12th. I was so amazed about how he was still in such high hopes. I couldn't really understand how someone who had lost just about everything still could show love to his family that is not blood related.
I was so happy to see him when I got there. I hugged him a couple of times because I haven'tbeen able to help him since the earthquake. So we went to the tents where my family has been staying since the earthquake on January 12th. My father went to the side and was happyto see the family in the area. So Tallat and I went to sit with my cousin mesidor, we took a few pictures because I had been wanting some pictures with him for a long time. A moment later my friend Tallat started talking to Mesidor about the lord. I tried to translate as best as I could through creole which is not my official second language but I know how to speak in it well enough to get by in this country.
As we kept going it was like the power of God really came on Tallat and we brought Mesidor, his fiance Elena to the lord and a few people in the area to the lord.
One of the first things Tallat said was "Mesidor, this body is not the real Mesidor, the real mesidor is inside you, your spirit. Nobody's perfect, we all aren't perfect, but Jesus forgives us of all of our sins," Tallat Said. He later went on to have Mesidorsay the sinner's prayer with a few other people near him.
It was an amazing site and the funny thing was that Tallat didn't remember even what he said. God does work in mysterious ways. God is good all the time. It was an emotional time for all of us who were in the family. My wife had spoke to Mesidor about Jesus a week before and he didn't accept Jesus that day.
But it took a little man from Guyana to lead him to the lord. Praise God and Regions Beyond Evangelism.

orphanage started

The past week has been hard. But we are slowly getting on our feet.
It is just funny how God works. Right when you think things aren't working out he does something.
Right when you need it. That is how I feel in Haiti sometimes. I feel a little lost but God guides me to find the path.
He guides me of where to go. The orphanage is just getting started. We started bringing up
the supplies yesterday. We started the work week today. Pray that we can use the money wisely.
Help is slowly coming in but we know god will bless our organization, and bless us in multitudes.
Faith is something we have to let God do the work that he needs us to do without us interfering.
There are many needs for us as missionaries and also for the Haitian people.
We thank you for all of the help you are giving and all the future help that is coming through you.
Our prayers are with all of you.

God is moving 5 salvations last night

I am really glad to be back in Haiti. I felt uncomfortable while I was in Florida because we couldn't spend enough time with the people we cared about. It was hard Monday and Tuesday because of lack of sleep. But last night was amazing because we had a lady accept Jesus and 4 kids accepted Jesus. This is really amazing to see what God is doing in Haiti. It is easier for people to accept Jesus in Haiti because they need him. There is desperation in this country for an answer. People here and all over the world need Jesus. That is what I will leave you with today. God Bless all of you.

Back home in Haiti

It is good to finally get back here after the long day my family and I just had. We started at 3:45 this morning. I slept for about 2 and a half hours, then was woke up by a friend. He was worried my family and I would miss our flights so his dad got up at 3:00 and made sure that we were up. We were able to leave by 4:30 this morning and arrived in Tampa international airport by 5:30 after we returned the rental car, we made our way inside to check our bags. We checked 4 bags plus a car seat. Then we made our way onto the plane then went to Miami. We arrived in Miami and then about an hour later we left and were on our way to Haiti. Keep us in your prayers. A few needs we have if any of you have laptop computers you would like to donate or would like to purchase one for Hope in the Light it would be appreciated.
