Haiti is starting to change. That is an understatement. There were thousands of people who became christians this past weekend. The churches of Haiti were urged to fast and pray February 12th,13th,14th. Many were blessed and many decided the way they live. This is just the start what God is going to do here. We had a girl who was possessed by an evil spirit, we tried 2 times to get it out of her during this fasting period, but he spirit didn't come out. Today February 16th we invited a Haitian Pastor, Pastor Enock, who prayed with us over her to make this spirit leave her alone and it did. Praise God! Her mother became a christian shortly after that. We had a service tonight and 5 people were saved. That is 6 salvations in one day. This is the most I have seen happen in one day, but I know God will do it. Tomorrow we are going to give out food in the village of Boucan. There has been money donated to get 30 bags of rice. We will see God use it like the 3 loaves and 2 fishes tomorrow. Keep us in your prayers. We will use it as an opportunity to let people about Jesus. Hope in the Light appreciates all the help that all of you have given. We really appreciate it. None of the work would be possible without you. For those of you who don't know about us you can check out our website www.hopeinthelight.org. Those of you suffering our prayers go out to you. I pray you seek god and find him. He will provide for your needs. If anyone is interested Hope in the Light please email me at ramones225@gmail.com or the executive director at midonde@hotmail.com. We are still looking for new churches to sponsor us if you maybe interested. If you need us to speak at your church we would the opportunity to come speak at your church.

Going to Port Au Prince
We had another salvation in our church it was Mona's cousin Dieula. Here is the story behind the whole thing:
Today I went to Port au Prince, in an area called Route St. Martin. When I first got there I cried. First we went to find my wife's cousins. They have always accepted them as family. I hated to see them that way. It was awful, to see people sitting under sheets they had put up so they have some shade in the hot sun. It felt like someone had shoved my head in an oven, it was so hot. Where I live it is cool because we live at a higher elevation, but where my family lives it is hot and there are flies everywhere. It just mad me feel sad, that they had to suffer like this and I can go home and sleep in a house that is still standing. But this gave me an opportunity to suggest the idea of having a clinic and I know God will bless it. After we talked with Mona's cousin's awhile, we asked who wanted to come and stay with us. There was only one that wanted to come with us her name is Dieula. She had stayed with us before when we were in another house, and mona has always had a special place in her heart for her. It was shocking to me that one of Mona's cousin's name fabiola, who has a one year old, rather stay there with her son playing in the dirt with no pants on then have him come with us. It is where they have lived all their lives I guess. People are always afraid of change. Shortly after that we left with Dieula and went to our house. Once we arrived at our house we had our Wednesday night service. After we sang our 5 or 6 songs we asked if there were any visitors. This is when Mona's cousin Dieula(jula) stood up and she said that mona had invited her to church, and that we had brought her to our house. Next they asked her if she wanted to become a christian. She said she was ready. Then they asked her if she wanted to accept Jesus today and she said yes. Finally we prayed over her and she said the sinner's prayer right after that. It was amazing. The people in her area are in real need. We pray that this story will show you why we are in Haiti. This is just one day in the life of most Haitians, very difficult but they find a way to go on. Please keep us in your prayers, we need them. God Bless all of you.

More Gridlock in Haiti
Well today is another day in Haiti. Why is it so hard for NGOs to find help for the people need them. There are so many people suffering right now in this country, why does it have to be so hard? My heart goes out to the people of Haiti. They have been though so much why do they need to suffer more? These are many of the thoughts I have when I am in Port Au Prince or Petionville and see so many people with no place to live and no food or water. Even when people get food some of them end up selling it, which is against the whole idea of aid. Everyone needs to pray for Hope in the Light Ministry and Haiti. Many people need tents to sleep under, food, water, port o potties, clothes, shoes, and toys for little kids. Any escape for a child is a good one right now. We need your help!! For those of you who are helping us right now, we thank you. For those of you who are interested please email the executive director in Texas at midonde@hotmail, or email us at ramones225@gmail.com. We appreciate all of you . God willing we will find the aid we need. Please email us with encouragement it helps us through this tough time in Haiti. Jesus said "when you give you will receive". This is the basis of all our work here. Jesus also said "I was hungry and your gave me something to eat".
