Update about me.

Hello everyone who has been faithful with us in the past.  It is a sad situation in Haiti right now with all of the unrest we are seeing across the country.  I pray you will keep Haiti in your prayers with the assassination of the president last summer.  Since that time the country has spun out of control and it seems to not have anyone in control except the gangs.

But in saying this since coming back to the states 6 and half years ago I may have had anger and unforgiveness in my heart towards who I thought hurt me while I was in Haiti.  But the truth is I miss those relationships.  Now it seems that every different church I got to I don't seem to fit.  Or i don't fit into someone else's mold.  I miss the friends I made here in the states while I was working in Haiti.  It seems I may have burned many bridges around the U.S. after that time.

I thank the countless people who came to Hait and the various teams that came down to help with the work we have in Haiti.   But it seems the longer I was there the more desperate I got in trying to support my family, listen to the organization, trying to get groups to come to Haiti to further our work but the truth is I sometimes was willing to say anything in order to get what I wanted.  I do apologize for whatever has happened in the past while I was there.  I was trying to make a difference but living in Haiti for 10 years it started to take its toll.

Now that I know the extent of my son's Autism it seems we made the right decision but I have felt very lost for the past few years without all of the connections that I had will all of my friends and supporters of the past.  Please reach out I had been feeling like I failed.  Like I wasted some of my time while I was in Haiti.  I just got tired of trying to sell people the idea of Haiti and always feeling like a salesman to something that no one wanted.  Please get in contact with me again just to say hi or touch base.  I am not asking for anything now.  I am a coach at a middle school and I am teaching World Geography.  I am finally accomplishing something I thought I would never accomplish in Haiti, being a coach.  This is something I have always wanted and I hope to do sports ministry soon.  Please keep me and my family in prayer on what our next move should be.  Thank you all and God bless.

Haiti Update

I am utterly sorry to all of you who have wanted information about Haiti and I haven't given it to you.  I have been in transition for the past few years trying to find what God has for me and my life.  The update is I have tickets along with my father Ralph who will accompany me to Haiti in the month of May.  We are praying that we will be able to fly out on May 21st out of Austin.

We really need your prayers and support in anyway that you can..  All flights have stopped to Haiti since April 9th. We have speaking engagements in Aransas Pass and also Sinton in May so pray that those speaking engagements will be successful and that many other churches will join in our efforts to help the Haitian people..

It has been a tough journey for me and my family the past few years.  When I came to Corpus Christi area in 2015, I thought I would be here for a short while then I would go back to Haiti.  My son Brian has progressed leaps and bounds since he has been here in Portland.  I am thankful to God and the Gregory/Portland I.S.D. for the advancement for Brian and his learning.  When he came he could not really communicate with us at all.  He now talks our ear off and can read and write.  He is much bigger then he was when we came back from Haiti.

Angie is now in Middle school and in 8th grade almost to High school.  She also is a part of the JHS Honor Society and the track team. I am so thankful that my children have advanced and grown as much as they have.

Mona is working and in the process of getting her GED.  I am so proud of that woman and how strong she is and her perseverance to deal with me.  She talks to our staff in Haiti everyday and has been back to Haiti each of the past 4 years.  I was just the one who was dragging my feet.

I have surrendered my will to God and whatever he has planned for me.  I am praying God will move in a major way for Haiti and for the whole world that a revival may happen and that Jesus would be glorified in this time of trouble.  I pray all of your can perseverance and "not grow weary doing good."  Take care and God bless you all.

New ideas and Thoughts about us and Haiti.

Hello everyone I know it has been a long time since I wrote a blog so I just thought I would let everyone what is happening.  My family have been back in Texas since last October.  Last summer our son Brian was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  We tried to treat it in Haiti but it was almost impossible.  Then we were asked to comeback by our organization.

Brian has improved tremendously and God willing he will keep improving.  Things in Haiti are moving along nicely.  We are trying to work on a food program at our school.  We have also wanted to have groups come down to further the vision we have for Hope in the Light Ministry.  We are so thankful for all of our faithful board and supporters this past year.  Pray for our organization we are in transition and trying to figure out what God has for us.

God has been speaking to me about helping Haitian students to be able to come to the U.S. and get a degree in order to help their future and the future of Haiti.  I have been thinking about a foundation or some sort of fund to be able to send potential students to the United States to study.  I do have some requirements that I will ask of them.  One would be faithful and active in your church, be able to speak english, and write english and the final this would be to attend a non denominational bible school for a year before transferring to a school of higher learning in whatever they may want to study in.  I has been on my heart to help Haitian students have a future and to help Hope in the Light further our vision in Haiti to help the Haitian people.

Please pray for me on this venture nothing has happened because I don't have any funding or paperwork.  It is just an idea that I have been thinking about.

Another thing about my family my daughter since she came back from camp has been on fire for God and I have very pleased in what God has done for us and our family.  I am working at a flight simulator ride at the World War II ship down here in Corpus Christi.  Doing this in order to make ends meet.  My family and I still have our hearts in Haiti and still trying to help those in need in Haiti.  Mona is still in contact with our organization in Haiti and works daily with everyone in Haiti to make sure that they work of Hope in the Light Ministry continues.  It has been so tough on us not being able to go to Haiti but we know that God will work everything out.  Also my wife is on her way to being a citizen.  We have filled out the paperwork we are just waiting on Homeland Security to let us know when she can come to her interview.

We would like to thank all of your who support us and pray for us, we need them.  Right now things seem like they are all over the place for us but God is right here with us ready to lift us up when we are weak.  God Bless you all and I will try to write more often in the future.

Our relocation from Haiti

Hello everyone I know I have been neglectful to all of you and I would like to say I am sorry.  I has been a tough 6 months.  My family and I relocated from Haiti in October.  We had been through much hardship while we were there.  I have dealt with loneliness and depression while I have been back from Haiti but with God I have the victory.  The whole difficulty began when our son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  It was devastating for us to find this news but we know that according to Romans 8:28 that God works all things for those who are called according to his purpose and we are called to do his work.

When we left Haiti I had no idea what we were going to do with our lives or what direction we are going.  We finally were able to get our son Brian the help he needs.  That is just priceless.  Angie is doing well in 4th grade.  She ranked 3rd in the entire 4th grade for her spelling bee.  Mona has been helping with Brian while he is going to preschool for half day.  I am working as a substitute teacher at a district in our town of Portland, Texas.

I tried to start my Doctorate degree but ran into some snags but I know God will work it out for me to finish this program.  Now many of you maybe asking well Lance when are you and your family going back to Haiti?  The truth is we don't know right now.  I am substituting to help support my family.  But it has been hard to get used to everything again but I am so happy that whatever I may suffer if my son gets better then it is all worth it.  I pray that many of you would understand my situation.  It wasn't easy for me and my family to leave the place we have served the past 8 years.

It is hard to explain to people that your support is down and that your son has special needs.  You can't really tell everyone all the pain you feel in your heart for your family and for the mission that you left.  A work that you help start and has been your whole life for the past 8 years.

Many people would ask me "When are you guys going back?" I know they didn't mean offense but it was hard for me to not think about Haiti and think that I let the people down in all that I had done for God.

God willing I will be going to Haiti in July for two weeks please pray and contact me or my organization for information.  I will be going probably a few time throughout the year and hopefully we can get more groups to come down.

I hope that this finds everyone well.  It has been hard for me to talk to anyone because I have been down and not feeling comfortable that my path is not clear right now.  Please pray for me and my family.

You will be glad to know I am helping a Baptist church here in Corpus Christi and I preach about 2 times a month and teach a Sunday school class for the kids at our church.  Please pray for Hope in the Light Ministry and for our church in Haiti.  Pray for my family and the direction we should be going in.    God bless you all and I pray that Jesus will be made more real in your life.

He is the only one that can change everything.

Mission needs

Hello everyone. Our HLM school in Boucan will start on September 7th.  We pray that all of you and your families are well.  Our needs are as follows: we need to find support for the last month of my daughters so we can get her report card so she can use it when she goes to U.S. for school.  Also we are trying to find a place for Nalto to stay when we aren't here this next year. Please pray for that and also we need to send him to a preschool so he can get a start on his education.  Please pray now in our time of need. We will be coming to Texas in October.  We thank you for all you do.  God Bless you all

Everyone I am sorry about what I wrote yesterday.  This a partial retraction from what I wrote yesterday.  I said that I would be the executive director of HLM that was not true.  I misunderstood my Father when we were discussing HLM matters.  We are not abandoning or the work we do here we will comeback for 9 months and see where God leads.  The comments I wrote were written in a deep emotional state and were written to thesituation we are in in Haiti.  Please pray for us we really need them.  Take care and God Bless. Hello all of you out there.  It has been a tough month, so the board of Hope in the Light Ministry has decided that we need to return to the U.S.on October 8th.  So we can raise more funds for the organization and for our personal support.  This really bothers me I feel like we have given up on our life's work it is heart breaking to me.  But we will keep the faith to see what God will do.  He knows all of our needs before we ask him.

I will be working with Pastor Rusty Maddox at Harbor View Chapel in Corpus Christi, TX.  I look forward to this job so that I maybe mentored and trained to see what a pastor in the U.S. really does.  I just really don't like abandoning my dream but it seems like all the doors here are closed.  I will still come down with teams, and also when we do activities.

I will still have Haiti in my mind and will become the Executive Director for Hope in the Light Ministry.  I just pray that we can be able to run the organization as well as my father has run it for the last 7 years.  I just pray I can run it as well as he has.  My son Brian also is on the Autism spectrum and while we have been here we haven't really found anywhere to send him.  My daughter's school is expensive at a Christian school here in Haiti.  There have been so many things that have gone wrong since we got here that I really don't know what God is doing.  I will look forward to see what God is going to do.

Please if you still have teams interested in coming then we will still facilitate those trips.  This does not mean that the mission will stop.  We have staff on the ground to be able to do the work here in Haiti.  I really don't know what God is doing.  We appreciate your support and we need it more then ever.  We need to build up support to do the work here in Haiti and you are a vital part to this work.  I just pray that many of you won't cut your support of the work here in Haiti.  Now we need it more then ever.  We need prayer to show us what direction the organization is going in.  And where we will be going in the future.  Hope in the Light Ministry will continue I will just be in a different role.  This is just a transitional period for all of us to get through.  Please we need prayer.

Take Care and God Bless

Update just got back to Haiti and Brian

Hello everyone I know it has been an eternity since I have written in my blog.  It has been exciting since we returned.  Angie is returning to school,  and I enjoyed being at church this past Sunday.  We just got the power turned on last night.  They power isn't on all the time here in Haiti,  but when it is saves us money from buying gas for the generator.

In Haiti life can be hard and you can wonder where your next dollar is coming from.  All we can do is have faith to know that God will work things out.  Angie starts school on the 10th of August and we haven't had a chance to get her shirts for her school uniform or get her school supplies.  I just feel so helpless that I can't help my own family.  We know God will provide but we don't know how he is going to do it.  I can't say enough about our faithful supporters who have helped us throughout the year.  You are our lifeblood.  We can't do the work without you.

Brian has had a recent diagnosis of being on the Autism spectrum.  Services are limited for Brian but when we were in Minnesota, we were able to get the names of two clinics. We found a clinic called St. Vincent's in Port Au Prince and also the Saint Esprit clinic in Croix des Bouquet.  Brian's diagnosis has been hard on our family.  The not knowing what to do is probably the hardest thing to live with.  But we know that Brian will be fine with help.  I know some of you may have children with special needs.  It is an experience that many people won't know about.  When your child has challenges it just makes you want to love them more.  You find out how sweet they are and appreciate the child that God has given you. Even though many people might think that it isn't a blessing.  They might think your child is incomplete or sick.  But that is not the truth.  You learn to love your child more.  They are much more dependent on you as parents.  But God knows that they are his child.  He will make a way for them to see them through their disability.  It can be painful but God can work through any problem that they will have.  We just need to put our trust in Him.

I pray you all know Christ and that you put him first in your life.  Thank you friends and family and supporters who read this.  We can't do this work without you.  Take Care and God Bless

November and December happenings

This past month has been really hard.  First we had a group come in November from Valley Baptist Church in Lakeland, Minnesota, during the thanksgiving holiday. They helped fix the Land Rover.  Also the head pastor from Valley Baptist lead a pastor and leadership conference.  We were all very blessed by their presence.  Thank you Valley Baptist Church for all of your help.
It is a real blessing but hard work to take care of the team and to have transportation and to get my kids to school.  It just can be hard.  So then we take care of the team and I think okay now I will have time for a few days to get a break.

Mona and Marylyss Lucker of Valley Baptist Church
at the Apparent Project.
But then my adopted son Tipaul started to go to night school to be a mechanic.  So then I had to take the kids to school at 5:30 and would come back and try to relax while trying to help my wife with her seminary work.  So then a few days pass and I then I think "Okay now maybe I will get a break for the weekend".  Nope then we had a revival every night for a week.  It just can be trying on you when you are taking the kids then relax for an hour then get up then go to a revival every night.  The youth did a really great job doing the revival here.

I preached on Tuesday night, Pastor Canes ( my associate pastor), and Pastor Clairmont were speakers during the week.  Also there was a powerful testimony by a man named Wilner about how the devil was trying to kill him.  It was a long testimony and I revealed to him that God has a call on his life to preach. I prayed for him along with my wife Mona, that he maybe delivered and know the promises he has with Christ.  That the sickness will never return in Jesus name.  We will go and evangelize the village of Boucan on December 27th.  This is the area that the mission site is located and where we want to start our orphanage in the near future.
Leaders leading worship on the final day of the revival

I will resume the Men's group.  We haven't met for 3 weeks and I just haven't felt right about it.  I am glad that we can get started again to build up the men so we can have the future elders of the church, and also to build up leaders to be able to go out and tell others about Jesus.  If you would like to support our men's group please contact me by Facebook or email.  We need support of about 20 dollars a week to be able to have refreshment for our group.  This group is life changing, it encourages the men to come when we have refreshments.  It is nice to have a secure area where we can talk about what we are going through and where we would like to be.

This past week an anonymous donor gave 200 dollars so a single mother could pay for her kids to go to school.  She asked me about a week ago if I could find someone to pay for her kids so that they don't kick her kids out of the school.  I am so thankful that God had moved to be able to help this family in need.  I know many of you say what can I do?  You think you can't really make a difference in anyone's life but this family was so thankful because they had no answer.

The church enjoying the final day of the revival.
Keep us in your prayers this hasn't been an easy Christmas this year.  My parents and family had sent us money this year to help and we are very thankful.  I always want my Christmas celebration to be perfect and I never seem to get it right.  We just had our dell give me a blue screen and my little aspire one laptop will need a screen and keyboard.  It just seems like the devil wants to attack us through what we have.  Our solar panels were accidentally broken during our revival because we hadn't found a place to put it.  Even though he does this God always has an answer.  Please remember to give this Christmas season and know that Jesus was the ultimate gift for your and your family.  God Bless you all, Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

new church opportunities

Imagine going to a city that you have been to many times.  But then you go to the bad part of town and you look at where the poorer people live.  At first you might be afraid to go there.  But when you get there, you find out that you actually have a heart for the people of thisarea and you are determined to help them no matter what.  This is what happened to me today.

In an area called Juvernat me, Pastor Clairmont, and Pastor Enock, Ivisited a church that is basically dying.  The pastor no longer can take care of this parish anymore and has been hungry for 5 days. When Iheard this it almost made me cry.  We had given him a little bit of money because it touched our hearts to help him.  This is a place surrounded by buildings.  It reminds me of an area in Port Au Prince called Route St. Martin.  I couldn't help that area but this area maybe able to accomplish the vision God has given me.  You never know what God is going to do.  Many times we think we know what we want but we actually don't.  He knows what is bettter for us. We are also working on taking over a church in Boucan.  This is going to be a lot of work but we know God will help us accomplish it.

Through the leading of the Holy Spirit we are able to accomplish many things. We just need to be willing to do the work. I had been discouraged this past few months because we hadn't really been doing anything. But when we I decided to step out and trust God for the answer he did it.
We just need to do the work that he has called us to do. Keep the faith and step out and he will do the work that he called us to do.

Needs for HLM and future

This past week we received 72 boxes from Love a Child.  That was a real blessing. We gave food at a remote village in the mountains of Haiti in an area called Robin.  The families there are very desperate for anyone to help them because the government does not help this area at all.  We are praying that God will help us start a school and church in this area.  Keep praying that God will make a way and Jesus Christ will be glorified.

We have been having spirit filled services here at our Hope in the Light Church.  It has been very encouraging to see the young people blossom through the truth of Jesus Christ.  We have started a men's group and it has been great.  Me as a pastor have been blessed greately to hear the men of the church and their needs.  It makes me feel less disconnected from them.  It helps me know that I am not alone in many of the problems that I have are the problems of many other men.  Jesus gets all of the glory because I don't deserve any credit for this group it is all God.  For all of you who are out there reading this please keep this group in your prayers God has been using me and the leaders of the group greatly.  To God ge the glory.

We are looking at some land in the area for our church. We would also like to have a school so that students in the area may have a chance to have a christian education.  It is vital to our church and to the children in the area.  The building is a need because some people will not come to our church because it is being held in our garage.  We know that God will make a way for us he always does.  I have the vision that God has given me but I need to be patient with him to be able to accomplish his vision and not my own.

School started this past week but many of the students did not come.  We are encouraged that they will come this week.  I pray the support can grow so that we maybe able to have a high school for all of the students in the area that don't have a chance to go to school or the money to go to school.  Thank you for all of your support and prayers.God Bless you all.

Needs and situations of a missionary

Hello everyone.  This is the Director of operations here in Haiti.  Things have been a little trying.  We got Angie enrolled at Quisqueya Christian School.  That was a chore, but through God's grace we have been able to get through it.  But that doesn't really mean that the devil hasn't been trying to attack us in every way possible.  We have had problems with our power, our food, and also our vehicles.  We just had our Land Rover breakdown today and barely got it back to our house.  Keep us in your prayers and we know that God will make away through this tough time.  Donald and Marjorie have received scholarships to go to TBI for the fall semester but we are unsure what to do.  We would love to have them go but I don't know what they will do after their 4 month I-20 runs out.  I am applying to two schools for them one is a need based college and the other is a liberal arts young men's college in the California desert.  But the only problem is that they won't get accepted until next year.  So we have a window from January to July or August.  Please pray that God will help us to know what he wants us to do.  Our school in Boucan will start in either September or October.  Take Care and God Bless you all.

Share HLM Newsletter 23.pdf - 673 KB

Hello everyone here is a link to download our new newsletter.  It features a testimony from my niece from Majorie.  We are looking for schools for Donald and Majo to go to college.  We have found some perspective schools but they haven't been accepted at them yet just believing God will show us the way to go from here.  We know God is leading us we just don't want them to lose this chance.

It has been a trying time here in Haiti.  We are still trying to get our power under control.  We have recently taken Reynalto, Raymond's son into our home and are hopefully going to adopt him in the near future.  It has been a trying time for him because so many people have left him and he has not had the attention that a child should have at his age.

We do this for Raymond we know this is what he would want us to do.  The lord tells us to take care of orphans and widows.  They can't help themselves.  It is not this boy's fault that his dad died and his mom ran away.  When we took him he was really skinny and had diarhea for three months.  It is by the grace of God that we were here at the right time to help him.

The church is stable right now.  We are hopefully going to get a men's group to meet soon.  It has been a need for a long time.  For men to have fellowship and have a place to say their peace with out Judgement.  We have lost our transportation for the moment.  We have a motorcycle that is our only transportation.  I was trying to drive the Dodge Dakota last week and the crankshaft broke.  Please keep us in your prayers because Angie is going to have to go to her Christian school next month.  God is in control and he will take care of it.  God Bless you all.

Hello everyone it has been a long strange trip to get here.  The devil has been trying to attack us in every way.  First when we were leaving the U.S.  I forgot my Haitian resident card and we were delayed a day until we could leave.  We arrive in Haiti the next day.  We return to a house with an inverter that is slowly dying and electricity that is given on the mercy of the Haitian government.  All in all I have grown closer to God through all of these trials.  We don't have the words to thank all of the faithful people who have helped us throughout the year.  The work continues here even though the devil has tried everything to stop us from doing the work of God, we have the victory through our faith in Christ.

The church is almost around 60 people.  We are a young church but God uses us to continue to preach the Gospel to Haiti, to have Jesus Christ be glorified.  The school will be starting school and we need your continued sponsorship to help further the future of the children in the mountains of Haiti.  To let us shine in the darkness.  Haiti is a very dark place and a stronghold for the devil.  We can only do this work, through the Godhead of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Without God I can do nothing.  That is why we depend so heavily on the support of faithful Christians who have a heart for Haiti and for the work of God.

Even though I was worried the the church here in Haiti would die or that the work here would fail.  God is faithful and it has continued and is growing.  We are very thankful for all of the support and prayers throughout this past year and we need them to continue.  Thank you Cornerstone Church, STBI,and especially Pastor Darryl Smith and Sister Catherine Smith. We couldn't do this work without you.  We would also like to thank Harborview Chapel who has be instrumental in helping in whatever we need through this year and beyond.

Thank you Pastor Rusty Maddox and his wife Heide you have adopted us into your family and we are very thankful for that.  Thank you Portland Christian Center for all of your support and all the prayers.  You have been faithful since 2008 and we are very thankful for our with you and all that you do.  Thank you Pastor Jim Harris for making us feel like part of the family whenever we are attending church. Thank you Golden years group for your faithful support and prayers.  We love to thank the Board and that they do.  We would love to thank my aunt Terecia and my cousins for the money they raised recently.  Also Steve and Ann Jacobs thank you for your companies help and your faithfulness to support us in our work.  Also Miss Lawanda at PCC you are so faithful in your support we would not have made it this past year without you.

Thanks to and know that your reward is in heaven, even though sometimes you may not think that you are doing something big, you are in our eyes.  It through faith and through support that we are able to do the work we are doing.  God Bless you all

It is funny how we all live here in this world.  It just seems like all of us are on a endless clock that we all think well our time is never really going to be up.  But it will come and it is going to come.  Eventhough many of us don't want to think about it, it is coming.  Then comes the thought everyone thinks is there a god.  Many deny it but no one really can really say their is no god.  But it is a thought that many of us think about and at least we have to bible to show us who he is.

I know this is not my normal style of blog but it is just something that has been on my mind today.  Today I was help out with the work that they are doing and my house and it just made me think about how much work these Haitian people put into their houses.  I tried to work for 2 hours shovelling sand and putting it into the sifter that Donald was using.  I helped me to have perspective on what life is like here in Haiti.

The church is doing well we are slowly but surely growing in God's timing.  We will try to start a sunday service in the afternoon twice a month in Boucan.  Please keep HLM in your prayers and also the support for our families.  If you are sending support we thank you and look  forward to seeing you when we are in the states.  For those of you who don't we would encourage you if you feel it on your heart to give please do it is appreciated.  The school will be opening in October so please keep all of our operations in Haiti in prayer.

We have been living but it has been hard these past two months.  Angie has started at a new school we have had 2 teams come to Haiti and we are preparing for more people to come during December-January and March-april.  It seems right when you think that God is not going to help you that is when he helps you.  Many are hurting in haiti but the country will show you the survival instinct that man has within himself to have the ability to live no matter what the circumstances.

If you would like to be interested in what I am talking about please email me at ramones225@gmail.com.  I would be happy to tell you more about haiti and how you could help Hope in the Light and our vision.  A trip to Haiti would be humbling for you and would teach you what God is wanting to teach you.  You will learn about yourself and where you should be.

It seems that many of us get busy with many different things whether it is sports, movies, TV shows, family or church activities.  But the fact is that we don't always make time for God like we should.  Haiti gives you the knowledge that some places you can make time for God.  You can have a relationship with your family with out giving up most of you life at work or being busy with buisiness activies.  You can make time for your family which is what God is wanting you to do.  You need to make the time to know your children or when they are older they won't want anything to do with you.

Well I hope those are encouraging thoughts, our prayers are with you.  God Bless

Writers block broken

Hello everyone.  I know it has been awhile.  I have had writer's block for the past few months. It may have been from my brother in law's death kind of shook me up.  The past few months it seems like I have been in a haze.  But I am thankful to say that the haze is gone and I have found the direction that God has wanted me to go I have found and am thankful for all of the prayers.  We really need them and it is amazing to see what God is doing.  We are finishing the orphanage and the school.  The vision God gave me is finally starting to show itself along with the work.  Sometimes I feel that I don't really know why I am here but God always makes away for me to know him better all the time. The church still is a work in progress but I know it is God's work and he will make a way when there is no way.  I would encourage any of you who are reading this blog to come to Haiti if you get a chance because it will change your life.  We appreciate all of the support and prayers.  We have not been able to do anything on our house.  But we know the support will come for our house and God will provide for us. Resia (Raymond's wife) is doing well with her new baby boy Reynalto Raymond Erilien, she and her family really appreciate all the help that has come in from the U.S. for her and her baby.  Please email  for more information or encourage me to write another blog.  That would really help me to know that there are many people out there praying for us here in Haiti.  It is also good to know there are people thinking of us and Hope in the Light Ministry.  It can be isolating here in Haiti with the lack of communication from the U.S.  Keep us in your prayers and we miss you and love all of you.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.  I will try to keep updating this blog, so pay attention for it so that you can keep up with all that is going on with Hope in the Light Ministry.  God Bless you all.

We were asked to move out of our house

Hello friends and family,

I know my blogs aren't usually this formal, but this is a emergency situation. Our neighbor had a problem with us having a revival next to their house. This revival happened about a month ago. The neighbors were rude about it and they had a dispute with Ti Paul. Ti Paul was just defending me and my family. Now we are asking for help, we need help to make the first floor of the house so that we can have somewhere to go. Any of you who feel it on your heart to help, we would really appreciate it. Our prayers and our love is with you. We had a earthquake a year ago and it destroyed a retaining wall, we haven't had running water in 2 years. We have suffered for Christ these past 2 years but they have been good. God has really shown himself to us the past 2 years. We appreciate all of the support you have given to us in the past. My family is praying for you and what you will do for us and for our organization.

Love,
Lance, Mona, Angie, Ti Paul, Donald, and family

Baby is born

Hello everyone the baby is born. This was a long and trying time. Mona was due on the 26th of March, so then we went to her doctor to see if the baby would be delivered on that day. But as many things with God it wasn't her time. Now at this time I started to hear all kinds of voices telling me what to do and what we should do. But we don't need to listen to those people we need to listen to God. I prayed one night on the bedroom floor of the master bath. That night God told me that Mona was going to be okay and she was going to be okay and she wouldn't need a C-section. Mona had a dream that night too and God told her that same thing. But since we are human we always think that we can do it somehow. So mona went to every hospital in the area because her family was worried about her and didn't have enough faith that this doctor would deliver her. But that was not the case. After this Mona came back home for 2 nights it was nice for me. But on April 4th the day after my birthday we all went to get Mona another ultrasound. After that ultrasound we bought shots to induce my wife for the next day and other medicine. Then the next day Mona went to the clinic at the doctor's house. The doctor gave her the shot then had her walk around the house. Then when she sat down her water broke. Then she had the baby an hour or an hour and a half. Then about a hour later she called me to come see the baby because I get a little weird around a lot of blood. Then I was so happy to see our new son come into the world it was truly a miracle. I couldn't stop thanking God that he didn't and that when you don't stop losing faith, he will answer you. As it says in Psalm 1:2-3: "But they delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." (NLT) This is what I learned if we delight in the bible and meditate on it day and night we will be successful in all that we do and Jesus will hear our prayers and he will go to the Father for us. I thank God for this deliverance and I thank all of you praying for Mona and our family and Hope in the Light Ministry to help us grow as a ministry. We call you our family and keep our supporters in our hearts wherever we go. We thank you and May God Bless all of you and your families.
