Hello everyone I know it has been an eternity since I have written in my blog. It has been exciting since we returned. Angie is returning to school, and I enjoyed being at church this past Sunday. We just got the power turned on last night. They power isn't on all the time here in Haiti, but when it is saves us money from buying gas for the generator.
In Haiti life can be hard and you can wonder where your next dollar is coming from. All we can do is have faith to know that God will work things out. Angie starts school on the 10th of August and we haven't had a chance to get her shirts for her school uniform or get her school supplies. I just feel so helpless that I can't help my own family. We know God will provide but we don't know how he is going to do it. I can't say enough about our faithful supporters who have helped us throughout the year. You are our lifeblood. We can't do the work without you.
Brian has had a recent diagnosis of being on the Autism spectrum. Services are limited for Brian but when we were in Minnesota, we were able to get the names of two clinics. We found a clinic called St. Vincent's in Port Au Prince and also the Saint Esprit clinic in Croix des Bouquet. Brian's diagnosis has been hard on our family. The not knowing what to do is probably the hardest thing to live with. But we know that Brian will be fine with help. I know some of you may have children with special needs. It is an experience that many people won't know about. When your child has challenges it just makes you want to love them more. You find out how sweet they are and appreciate the child that God has given you. Even though many people might think that it isn't a blessing. They might think your child is incomplete or sick. But that is not the truth. You learn to love your child more. They are much more dependent on you as parents. But God knows that they are his child. He will make a way for them to see them through their disability. It can be painful but God can work through any problem that they will have. We just need to put our trust in Him.

I pray you all know Christ and that you put him first in your life. Thank you friends and family and supporters who read this. We can't do this work without you. Take Care and God Bless
Lance
