Baby is born

Hello everyone the baby is born. This was a long and trying time. Mona was due on the 26th of March, so then we went to her doctor to see if the baby would be delivered on that day. But as many things with God it wasn't her time. Now at this time I started to hear all kinds of voices telling me what to do and what we should do. But we don't need to listen to those people we need to listen to God. I prayed one night on the bedroom floor of the master bath. That night God told me that Mona was going to be okay and she was going to be okay and she wouldn't need a C-section. Mona had a dream that night too and God told her that same thing. But since we are human we always think that we can do it somehow. So mona went to every hospital in the area because her family was worried about her and didn't have enough faith that this doctor would deliver her. But that was not the case. After this Mona came back home for 2 nights it was nice for me. But on April 4th the day after my birthday we all went to get Mona another ultrasound. After that ultrasound we bought shots to induce my wife for the next day and other medicine. Then the next day Mona went to the clinic at the doctor's house. The doctor gave her the shot then had her walk around the house. Then when she sat down her water broke. Then she had the baby an hour or an hour and a half. Then about a hour later she called me to come see the baby because I get a little weird around a lot of blood. Then I was so happy to see our new son come into the world it was truly a miracle. I couldn't stop thanking God that he didn't and that when you don't stop losing faith, he will answer you. As it says in Psalm 1:2-3: "But they delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." (NLT) This is what I learned if we delight in the bible and meditate on it day and night we will be successful in all that we do and Jesus will hear our prayers and he will go to the Father for us. I thank God for this deliverance and I thank all of you praying for Mona and our family and Hope in the Light Ministry to help us grow as a ministry. We call you our family and keep our supporters in our hearts wherever we go. We thank you and May God Bless all of you and your families.

new work

Hello everyone. I know it has been a long time but I have been really busy with groups, and the baby. I pray this receives you well. Keep us in your prayers we really need them. It can be hard to live here and when all of you write me on facebook and send me emails it shows me and my family that you aren't far away. Without the prayers and support of all of you none of this work would be possible. We appreciate all the love support and sense of community and family you give to our family here in Haiti. We have started a work in Furcy a small village in the mountains of Haiti. This was the first area we went to when we were thinking about starting an organization in Haiti. There are many families in need and many of these families can not take care of their own kids. This will be one area we will take some of the kids for our orphanage in Boucan. In Haiti most of the kids at the orphanage their parents can no longer take care of them. We have had families come to our steps of our door and offer their children to us because they can not take care of them. This is a very sad situation but it is what we can do to fulfill the will of God for our lives here in Haiti. The work we are doing is a work in progress we are going to start a church in this area and also a church shortly after that. This is part of the broader vision Hope in the Light Ministry has for Haiti. The vision is to spread the gospel all over Haiti. This is a broader vision I had already thought of before Pastor Jason Hutchinson of Mountain Community Fellowship had mentioned it to me. But it is a divine vision that God has placed in me to accomplish his vision for us. Please if you are interested please contact Hope in the Light Ministry we always look forward to hearing from all of you.

Election and groups coming in

I pray that all of you keep us in your prayers. We really need them right now. One of the candidates supposedly cheated. The candidate for the people Michel Martelly. This has caused demonstrations all over Haiti. Keep this in your prayers. There are people protesting on the street everyday. They say they won't stop protesting until he is put in the election run off. We are safe. We thank you for all of you prayers. We have a group coming in the last week of the December and we need them to come so that they can restore hope to this country.

The government manipulated the ballots so they could get the candidate in to office. But the people here won't put up with it. This is the final straw for them they have put up with so much from the government not doing anything that they want their candidate.

I went today with an English friend of mine into the mountains trying to go to Furcy to figure out how we can best help the area that is in need. The people blocked the road with burned tires and trees that blocked the road. This all seems surreal, like it is not happening. We try to go to the store to find food. Many of the stores are closed and we go to the ones that are open. Please if you can help in anyway please contact our organization. The devil will not win this battle. We need your support. The uncertainty of everything is a little scary. We know God will give us the victory. Victory in Jesus name!!!!!!!!

Tropical Storm Tomas and other stuff

Hello everyone again. We all made it through the storm with no problems. We know that God protected us through the storm. We know that we can do it with out Jesus.

All of us need to remember that what is impossible with man is possible with God(Luke 18:27). We just had a revival in our area in Boucan. We had about 200 people and we were able to feed 95 percent of everyone. It was great to see how God gives us the victory.

We have been busy with small groups in September and October but now we are now getting ready for the groups who are coming in December.

We just heard some bad news. Donald and Majorie with not be able to attend Oneida Baptist Institute because they are too old. We are now trying to get them into Big sandy community college in Prestonsburg, ky. We just really need for all of you to pray that God will lead them to the right school. If you have any other options of schools that they can go to please contact me.

I know they have a hard road ahead of them but they are trusting that God will be the one that gets them there. Keep us in your prayers because we need them.

Any of you that would like to keep in contact with me through my email ramones225@gmail.com or talk to me on Facebook it really helps me to be encouraged to know that there are a lot of people who really care about us. We need your prayers and your encouragement to keep doing this work.

We have over 200 kids in school right now and more keep coming everyday. It will be great if we could get our school up by next year. There is an idea of using carports to get started which we would like to get started as soon as possible. Please if you would like to help with the school please contact me or my father to find out all of the programs that we are doing right now.

Thank you for all of our supporters, friends, families, and groups that have came to help us with our work. Thank you for all of your help and may God Bless all of you.

prayer requests & blessings

Hello everyone once again for the Hope in the Light update. We recently had a five day revival and many were blessed by that. We have just been able to buy our sound system :mixer speakers and a bass guitar. God has really blessed us. I would ask all of you to keep the church in your prayers because we are looking at some land and we don't know when we will have the money to buy land but we are believing God for that. The church is at max capacity at most of our services and we really need a space so that we can get even more people from the area involved with the church in our area.

My wife and I have started making our own house on a lot near our house. The problem is that we need to make a payment for it soon or we will have to pay more. Keep this in your prayers we need 8,000 US but if we could get at least 4,000 it would be appreciated. Just keep it in your prayers we are at the point where we don't know what to do. We have a sistern and we are digging the foundation right now. God has been doing many things for and he is always faithful and we are believing that he will do this also.

My brother in law Raymond will be getting married on the 16th of this month so pray that everything goes well with all the preparations. I will be preaching at the wedding but not doing the ceremony because I don't have all of my paperwork here registered with the Haitian government.

Keep Project 58 in your prayers they have taken on the task of finding support for our school and all of us here that is not and easy thing. They would like to partner with us to get our school built.

We recently found out that Donald and Marjorie will be able to attend a Oneida Baptist Institute free because they have received a scholarship. Praise God!! I almost couldn't believe it when the admissions lady said that she would give them scholarships. Isn't our God good. Now the real hurdles start: passport, application, plane ticket, but we know God will provide we just need to do it in his time not our time.

Also keep the church planting projects in our hearts Pastor Jason Hutchinson out of Painstville, Ky has the vision that God gave him to church plant churches all over Haiti but the project seems like it is taking a little while to get off the ground.

If any of you that feel that God is leading you to help us in anyway please email me at ramones225@gmail.com or my father at midonde@hotmail.com we would appreciate it.
Just check out our website to see in what ways you can help. www.hopeinthelight.org
Take Care and God Bless all of you.
Your brother in faith.

Trip, School and stuff

Hello everyone it has been quite awhile since I have written a blog. So the wait is over, I will break my silence now. Donald and Majorie are going to have a chance to study at a U.S. Boarding school!!!! Thanks to Lori Underwood who referred me to check out Oneida Bible Institute. God is Good, all the time!!!

Many things happened on our time in the U.S. we were able to go to from Miami to Hilton Head, South Carolina. We stayed with some friends of ours there for the night. Then the next morning we left to drive 12 hours to Williamson, WV. We stayed in the area for 2 weeks then made our way to St. Louis, MO where the founders of Project 58(www.project58.org) live. They are helping with getting support for the construction for the Hope in the Light school building. From St. Louis we went to Minneapolis, MN where we met one of our board members Steve Jacobs and his family. We stayed there about a week, we really enjoyed staying there we went to the zoo, I went to Target Field (the twins baseball field), and a hot air balloon ride. It was a great time. We went from there to my college town Alva, OK. While we were they we spoke at an Art counsel at Northwestern Oklahoma State University( my ama mauter). It was good to see friends and talk to people about Haiti. From there we made our way to Corpus Christi, TX where we saw my family and visited churches that feel like home to us. From there we went to Mobile, Alabama where we stayed the night and after that we made our way to Miami. We missed our first flight so we flew out the next day with a few problems but God got us back here to Haiti. The Devil couldn't stop us!!!

Keep Donald and Majorie in your prayers that everything will go smoothly, that we can find a sponsor for them. Please also keep Hope in the Light and all of our projects in your prayers. We really appreciate all of the support, prayers, and encouragement we receive from all of you. Take care. God Bless all of you.

Orphanage and other stuff

Hello everyone I know it has been awhile. But we have been really busy here in Haiti. We finished the orphanage. We had a small construction team come and put the roof on the orphanage. We are also working on an apartment for the future directors. We also have a school on our basketball court. So things have been moving along and it was a real blessing to have Pastor Jason Hutchinson, and Pastor Darrell here to do the pastor's conference here at our home church. We have been blessed by the groups coming. They have given us a lot of useful advice that will help us for the future. If you are interested in coming then please let us know email me at ramones225@gmail.com. For information, brochures, and any other literature just email the executive director Ralph Ware at midonde@hotmail.com.

The school is growing and we are praying for the school to be full next year. We have about 120 to 130 students in our school right now we are hoping to have closer to 200 students next year. Keep us in your prayers we really need them. We will be leaving for the U.S. in late July so if you would like to us to stop by please contact me. Thanks and God Bless.
