It is funny how we all live here in this world. It just seems like all of us are on a endless clock that we all think well our time is never really going to be up. But it will come and it is going to come. Eventhough many of us don't want to think about it, it is coming. Then comes the thought everyone thinks is there a god. Many deny it but no one really can really say their is no god. But it is a thought that many of us think about and at least we have to bible to show us who he is.
I know this is not my normal style of blog but it is just something that has been on my mind today. Today I was help out with the work that they are doing and my house and it just made me think about how much work these Haitian people put into their houses. I tried to work for 2 hours shovelling sand and putting it into the sifter that Donald was using. I helped me to have perspective on what life is like here in Haiti.
The church is doing well we are slowly but surely growing in God's timing. We will try to start a sunday service in the afternoon twice a month in Boucan. Please keep HLM in your prayers and also the support for our families. If you are sending support we thank you and look forward to seeing you when we are in the states. For those of you who don't we would encourage you if you feel it on your heart to give please do it is appreciated. The school will be opening in October so please keep all of our operations in Haiti in prayer.
We have been living but it has been hard these past two months. Angie has started at a new school we have had 2 teams come to Haiti and we are preparing for more people to come during December-January and March-april. It seems right when you think that God is not going to help you that is when he helps you. Many are hurting in haiti but the country will show you the survival instinct that man has within himself to have the ability to live no matter what the circumstances.
If you would like to be interested in what I am talking about please email me at ramones225@gmail.com. I would be happy to tell you more about haiti and how you could help Hope in the Light and our vision. A trip to Haiti would be humbling for you and would teach you what God is wanting to teach you. You will learn about yourself and where you should be.
It seems that many of us get busy with many different things whether it is sports, movies, TV shows, family or church activities. But the fact is that we don't always make time for God like we should. Haiti gives you the knowledge that some places you can make time for God. You can have a relationship with your family with out giving up most of you life at work or being busy with buisiness activies. You can make time for your family which is what God is wanting you to do. You need to make the time to know your children or when they are older they won't want anything to do with you.
Well I hope those are encouraging thoughts, our prayers are with you. God Bless

Writers block broken
Hello everyone. I know it has been awhile. I have had writer's block for the past few months. It may have been from my brother in law's death kind of shook me up. The past few months it seems like I have been in a haze. But I am thankful to say that the haze is gone and I have found the direction that God has wanted me to go I have found and am thankful for all of the prayers. We really need them and it is amazing to see what God is doing. We are finishing the orphanage and the school. The vision God gave me is finally starting to show itself along with the work. Sometimes I feel that I don't really know why I am here but God always makes away for me to know him better all the time. The church still is a work in progress but I know it is God's work and he will make a way when there is no way. I would encourage any of you who are reading this blog to come to Haiti if you get a chance because it will change your life. We appreciate all of the support and prayers. We have not been able to do anything on our house. But we know the support will come for our house and God will provide for us. Resia (Raymond's wife) is doing well with her new baby boy Reynalto Raymond Erilien, she and her family really appreciate all the help that has come in from the U.S. for her and her baby. Please email for more information or encourage me to write another blog. That would really help me to know that there are many people out there praying for us here in Haiti. It is also good to know there are people thinking of us and Hope in the Light Ministry. It can be isolating here in Haiti with the lack of communication from the U.S. Keep us in your prayers and we miss you and love all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I will try to keep updating this blog, so pay attention for it so that you can keep up with all that is going on with Hope in the Light Ministry. God Bless you all.

We were asked to move out of our house
Hello friends and family,
I know my blogs aren't usually this formal, but this is a emergency situation. Our neighbor had a problem with us having a revival next to their house. This revival happened about a month ago. The neighbors were rude about it and they had a dispute with Ti Paul. Ti Paul was just defending me and my family. Now we are asking for help, we need help to make the first floor of the house so that we can have somewhere to go. Any of you who feel it on your heart to help, we would really appreciate it. Our prayers and our love is with you. We had a earthquake a year ago and it destroyed a retaining wall, we haven't had running water in 2 years. We have suffered for Christ these past 2 years but they have been good. God has really shown himself to us the past 2 years. We appreciate all of the support you have given to us in the past. My family is praying for you and what you will do for us and for our organization.
Love,
Lance, Mona, Angie, Ti Paul, Donald, and family

Baby is born
Hello everyone the baby is born. This was a long and trying time. Mona was due on the 26th of March, so then we went to her doctor to see if the baby would be delivered on that day. But as many things with God it wasn't her time. Now at this time I started to hear all kinds of voices telling me what to do and what we should do. But we don't need to listen to those people we need to listen to God. I prayed one night on the bedroom floor of the master bath. That night God told me that Mona was going to be okay and she was going to be okay and she wouldn't need a C-section. Mona had a dream that night too and God told her that same thing. But since we are human we always think that we can do it somehow. So mona went to every hospital in the area because her family was worried about her and didn't have enough faith that this doctor would deliver her. But that was not the case. After this Mona came back home for 2 nights it was nice for me. But on April 4th the day after my birthday we all went to get Mona another ultrasound. After that ultrasound we bought shots to induce my wife for the next day and other medicine. Then the next day Mona went to the clinic at the doctor's house. The doctor gave her the shot then had her walk around the house. Then when she sat down her water broke. Then she had the baby an hour or an hour and a half. Then about a hour later she called me to come see the baby because I get a little weird around a lot of blood. Then I was so happy to see our new son come into the world it was truly a miracle. I couldn't stop thanking God that he didn't and that when you don't stop losing faith, he will answer you. As it says in Psalm 1:2-3: "But they delight in the law of the Lord meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." (NLT) This is what I learned if we delight in the bible and meditate on it day and night we will be successful in all that we do and Jesus will hear our prayers and he will go to the Father for us. I thank God for this deliverance and I thank all of you praying for Mona and our family and Hope in the Light Ministry to help us grow as a ministry. We call you our family and keep our supporters in our hearts wherever we go. We thank you and May God Bless all of you and your families.

new work
Hello everyone. I know it has been a long time but I have been really busy with groups, and the baby. I pray this receives you well. Keep us in your prayers we really need them. It can be hard to live here and when all of you write me on facebook and send me emails it shows me and my family that you aren't far away. Without the prayers and support of all of you none of this work would be possible. We appreciate all the love support and sense of community and family you give to our family here in Haiti. We have started a work in Furcy a small village in the mountains of Haiti. This was the first area we went to when we were thinking about starting an organization in Haiti. There are many families in need and many of these families can not take care of their own kids. This will be one area we will take some of the kids for our orphanage in Boucan. In Haiti most of the kids at the orphanage their parents can no longer take care of them. We have had families come to our steps of our door and offer their children to us because they can not take care of them. This is a very sad situation but it is what we can do to fulfill the will of God for our lives here in Haiti. The work we are doing is a work in progress we are going to start a church in this area and also a church shortly after that. This is part of the broader vision Hope in the Light Ministry has for Haiti. The vision is to spread the gospel all over Haiti. This is a broader vision I had already thought of before Pastor Jason Hutchinson of Mountain Community Fellowship had mentioned it to me. But it is a divine vision that God has placed in me to accomplish his vision for us. Please if you are interested please contact Hope in the Light Ministry we always look forward to hearing from all of you.

Election and groups coming in
I pray that all of you keep us in your prayers. We really need them right now. One of the candidates supposedly cheated. The candidate for the people Michel Martelly. This has caused demonstrations all over Haiti. Keep this in your prayers. There are people protesting on the street everyday. They say they won't stop protesting until he is put in the election run off. We are safe. We thank you for all of you prayers. We have a group coming in the last week of the December and we need them to come so that they can restore hope to this country.
The government manipulated the ballots so they could get the candidate in to office. But the people here won't put up with it. This is the final straw for them they have put up with so much from the government not doing anything that they want their candidate.
I went today with an English friend of mine into the mountains trying to go to Furcy to figure out how we can best help the area that is in need. The people blocked the road with burned tires and trees that blocked the road. This all seems surreal, like it is not happening. We try to go to the store to find food. Many of the stores are closed and we go to the ones that are open. Please if you can help in anyway please contact our organization. The devil will not win this battle. We need your support. The uncertainty of everything is a little scary. We know God will give us the victory. Victory in Jesus name!!!!!!!!

Tropical Storm Tomas and other stuff
Hello everyone again. We all made it through the storm with no problems. We know that God protected us through the storm. We know that we can do it with out Jesus.
All of us need to remember that what is impossible with man is possible with God(Luke 18:27). We just had a revival in our area in Boucan. We had about 200 people and we were able to feed 95 percent of everyone. It was great to see how God gives us the victory.
We have been busy with small groups in September and October but now we are now getting ready for the groups who are coming in December.
We just heard some bad news. Donald and Majorie with not be able to attend Oneida Baptist Institute because they are too old. We are now trying to get them into Big sandy community college in Prestonsburg, ky. We just really need for all of you to pray that God will lead them to the right school. If you have any other options of schools that they can go to please contact me.
I know they have a hard road ahead of them but they are trusting that God will be the one that gets them there. Keep us in your prayers because we need them.
Any of you that would like to keep in contact with me through my email ramones225@gmail.com or talk to me on Facebook it really helps me to be encouraged to know that there are a lot of people who really care about us. We need your prayers and your encouragement to keep doing this work.
We have over 200 kids in school right now and more keep coming everyday. It will be great if we could get our school up by next year. There is an idea of using carports to get started which we would like to get started as soon as possible. Please if you would like to help with the school please contact me or my father to find out all of the programs that we are doing right now.
Thank you for all of our supporters, friends, families, and groups that have came to help us with our work. Thank you for all of your help and may God Bless all of you.
